COLD AND FLU SEASON 2

Just clicked on an AOL link to a story about whether or not there is a cure for the common cold. The answer was the first sentence: "There's no cure for the common cold. Antibiotics are of no use against cold viruses. Over-the-counter (OTC) cold preparations won't cure a common cold or make it go away any sooner, and most have side effects."
At least the first sentence is correct, only the body can "cure" a cold given time and/or the proper nutrition. OTC products DO have unfavorable side effects.
Luckily for us God has created many solutions to the cold and flu problem. Here are just a few: probiotics, goldenseal/echinacea, vitamins A & C, zinc, garlic, olive leaf, pau d'arco, a combination including wild blue iris/spring violet/yarrow, silver (Silver Shield from NSP).
Also, you would need to avoid citrus and sugar.
Rest is good, warm/hot liquids are great.
Historically these have worked for those who take them in the proper quantities and purchase them from medicinal-grade companies.
The best line from the article was "Keep in mind that acetaminophen can cause liver damage." They got that one right, too.

DOCTOR'S OFFICE VISIT

Not that I do this often (usually only to get a blood test for myself) but I accompanied a friend to her doctor the other day. What an eye-opening experience and a humorous one at that.
This woman in the waiting room was talking on her cell phone (in clear violation of the NO CELL PHONE USE IN OFFICE sign) and was called to the back room to get her blood pressure tested. She remained talking on her cell phone. The door separating the waiting room and the back rooms remained open (how unprofessional) and the nurse (?) or assistant (someone dressed in those really cool scrubs) proceeded to take the woman's blood pressure. The doctor walks by and tells the woman she can't have her blood pressure reading done while talking on the cell phone.
Just how long has the scrubs-dressed person done this?
Another worker, a young scrubs-dressed person didn't know what natural supplements were.
The phone was constantly ringing and although there were many scrubbed-dressed worker people, the phone went unanswered.
The diabetes cookbook in the waiting room was filled with recipes with sugar and simple carbs and a mention that some organization has okayed some sugar for diabetics. That's like saying some alcohol is ok for an alcoholic !!
How many people do you know who have gotten a cold or the flu and their doctor prescribes an antibiotic, knowing full-well you cannot treat a virus with an antibiotic. Sheer lunacy.
Not only will the antibiotic NOT work on a virus (there are many herbal formulas that do though) but the antibiotic will kill the GOOD bacteria in your gut that is actually a part of your immune system. Instead of making the situation any better this is a lose-lose proposition for the patient but a future income stream for the MD.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE Consult your local naturopath when you are sick.

ED, WHAT'S UP?

A number of men on the following program have reported such dramatic results they must be reported to all guys.

Number one is the circulatory system antidote Mega-Chel (1611-1). This is a vitamin, mineral and herbal combination taken 6 in the morning and 6 with dinner. It is used to strip plaque from artery walls (to get the blood flowing everywhere in the body) and to a lesser extent to remove heavy metals from the body. It also aids those with diabetes, Alzheimer's, failing eyesight and varicose veins. Also, a new product RG-MAX (586-3) contains 10 different amino acids, which are used by the body to help repair and build muscles, including the heart muscle. Improved circulation can help support increased energy and stamina levels and may help support male sexual function.

Nature's Sunshine, the company offering the highest quality herbal, vitamin, mineral and nutritional supplements in the world, once offered a Men's X-Action Pack that packaged what you needed in handy little plastic packs. Now we can do this on our own by purchasing the following products and taken as directed below:

Sarsaparilla (620-8)...2 in the AM...glandular
Herbal Pumpkin (915-2)...1 in the AM...intestinal
Korean Ginseng (665-4)...2 in the AM...glandular
Ginkgo/Gotu Kola (899-6)...1 in the AM...nervous/circulatory

X-Action (1113-7)...1 in the PM...glandular/nervous
Korean Ginseng (noted above)...1 in the PM...glandular
Damiana (240-9)...2 in the PM...glandular
Ginkgo/Gotu Kola (noted above)...1 in the PM...nervouos/circulatory
Zinc (1657-9)...1 in the PM...immune

When a man is having difficulties with his circulatory system it is not for a lack of a pharmaceutical drug. These drugs are synthetic and do not have any spark of life in them like natural supplements do. The drugs may work for some for a short period of time and then what do you do when they stop working altogether?

We were created to eat the live foods given to us by God. Adam and Eve were not tempted by a synthetic, man-made, devoid-of-life plastic apple. We were made to eat the food given in nature, it is the only thing that can sustain our life and bring us back to the healthy state we were meant to be in.

Use the link to the right to get to the Nature's Sunshine website to purchase these products mentioned above and see for yourself how historically these have worked for men.

STRESS, IT'S WHAT'S KILLING YOU

Stress is normal. It is even healthy because it keeps us active, motivated and productive. But too much stress is not healthy or normal even though it has become commonplace in America.

Today, we are driven by the relentless demands of career, family, consumerism and more. In an effort to keep up with our fast-paced lives we are getting stressed out and we cannot seem to control it.

Our stress-related pains end up more than headaches and shoulder pain - stress is actually exposing us to many diseases, including cancer, heart disease, diabetes and other life-threatening illness.

Nutrition and health play an important role in stress management that just might surprise you.

Untreated stress can lead to chronic illness.
Stress is the ultimate Anti-nutrient, robbing your body of the vitamins and minerals your body needs.
Prescription drugs are over prescribed and detrimental to your health.

The good news is that nature holds the answers. Natural supplementation along with a healthy diet and regular exercise can work wonders in managing your stress level and reducing your risk of stress-related disease.

SHORT INTRO TO SCLEROLOGY

Sclerology is the art and science of interpreting the red lines, colorations and markings in the whites of your eye (a.k.a. sclera) as they relate to the whole person's health.

Health is much more than the absence of disease. It is a dynamic, vital, balanced, slightly ecstatic and aware state of being which results from a relaxed and harmonious functioning of all the levels of the individual.

The sclera reveals stresses, imbalances, congestions and blockages wherever they originate. Sclerology is predominantly based on bioenergetic information.

Sclerology is not a diagnostic tool however. Diagnostic tools are the property of medical doctors. Sclerology is an excellent whole person EVALUATIVE science. With a quick glance into someone's eyes, a Sclerologist can ascertain what body systems are being affected by stressors, the CAUSE of the stress and how the body is responding to that stress. For example, a red line at 3 o'clock in the right sclera shows the body's health is being affected by the thyroid.

COLD & FLU SEASON

Government studies have found that the number of cases of hospitalizations a year due to influenza have dramatically increased over the past two decades. Contributors to colds and flu include our poor diets, the toxic environment, high stress lifestyles and lack of physical activity.

Both colds and flu are viral and both attack the connective tissues. When attacked, these connective tissues release their stores of vitamin A in an attempt to restore balance. It is the breakdown of the connective tissue which gives us the characteristic symptoms of colds and flu.

As with all health problems, prevention is the key. There are many options for building and maintaining a healthy immune system. We need to:
eat good foods
avoid sugars which feed the virus and damage our immune systems
exercise regularly
take a multi vitamin-mineral supplement on a daily basis as well as
herbal products designed to help the body overcome the virus.

It is also suggested that no over-the-counter, symptom-relieving medications be taken as these may tend to override the body's natural defense mechanisms driving the infection deeper into the tissue.

The goal should be to strengthen our body's own defense and elimination mechanisms and when necessary, provide temporary support for the elimination of the pathogen.

HEALTH OF HABIT

America's health is declining. We spend more on health care than any other nation in the world, yet more and more Americans struggle with diabetes, obesity, heart disease, etc. every year. One part of the solution is making sure your body gets everything it needs to run properly and defend against these illnesses.

Good health needs to become a habit - a habit that starts with proper nutrition.

The core products for this "habit of health" include those that support immune, circulatory, digestive and intestinal health.

Food enzymes, probiotics, fiber, a multi-vitamin/mineral, an antioxidant drink and essential fatty acids make up the suggested products for the "habit of health."

DETOXIFICATION

For nearly 100 years, health practitioners have touted the idea of health through detoxification. By eating toxic foods, drinking chemical-laden water and breathing polluted air we add toxins to our bodies every day that negatively affect every organ and body system. We are basically bags of water carrying around ponds of toxins.

To help maintain health we must occasional cleanse our bodies of the numerous pollutants we have ingested. Just as we "spring clean" our homes and maintain our cars, we must also keep our bodies in balance.

These common cleanses are recommended for "healthy" people throughout the years:
Liver (4x); Kidney (2x); Lymphatic (1x); Heavy Metal (1x); Parasite (1x); Blood (1x); Bowel (1x); Intranoidal Diseases.

These programs offer a way to get profound and rapid results by working with and enhancing your body's own processes.
Ultimately, the liver detox may be the single most important thing you can do to improve your health.
